Tulips of the Valley Festival

Travel

Tulips of the Valley Festival come in Agassiz, British Columbia every Spring. For over 10 years, they have been opening their fields. They have up to 20,000 visitors this past year. Their tulip festival takes place each April and its opening dates depend fully on the weather.

In the last day of the festival, my buddies and I went there by car. Driving from Vancouver to Agassiz takes 1.5~2 hours. We realized Facebook page declared that RCMP closed the festival due to the heavy traffic. Therefore, we parked along the roadway near to the parking a lot. Instead of taking a bus to the festival because of the long line, we took a walk to there. It took 30 minutes. We made it and the bus arrived at the same time. It was not that bad.

I couldn’t believe my eyes that the colourful tulips in the field are magnificent and larger than I thought.
